Harlan M. Futrell

Harlan was born and raised in St.Louis Mo. Mr. Futrell received his high school diploma from Mehlville Sr High, and went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in teaching K-12 and his Master Degree in General Education from Central Methodist University. Mr Futrell has been around football for over 22 years, playing for over 13years and coaching over 11 years. HM Futrell started his coaching career in Las Vegas NV in 2006. Mr Futrell's first year coaching he took a team that was 1-9 to the super bowl his 1st year with a record of 8-2, thus earning him Coach of the year in 2007. The next two seasons he went undefeated and then merged his team with NFL great Randall Cunningham in 2009. They went and won two more Superbowls before Mr. Futrell relocated back to St. Louis Mo in 2011; where he began coaching at Mehlville Sr High School. Mr Futrell coached varsity football there for 3 years. HM Futrell was the running back and defensive back coach and also offensive coordinator. In 2017 HM Futrell joined the Mid-West Seahawks coaching staff as the head coach of the 5-6 year old team. HM Futrell took his team to a 9-1 record his first year winning defensive team of the year. HM Futrell also trains athlete's(speed training,balance, agility and xplosion).

Football experience:

Futrell started playing football his freshman year in high school where he played running back. His first year he set a freshman record with 27 touchdowns in just 8 games, he also was moved up to varsity his freshman year where they lost the state simi finals game. HM Futrell went on to start varsity the next three years where he set many records. In 1998 Futrell ran back a 99 yard kickoff return setting a state record, and in 1999 set records for scoring multiple touchdowns. Futrell ended his varsity rushing for all three years with 3,256 yards and 41tds. Winning state his Sr year by beating KC Rockhurst class 5A. HM Futrell was named all conference three years,all

state two years, all American one year, St. Louis All American one year, StL post player of the week 6 times and won many more awards and was also featured in many magazine's. HM Futrell was recruited by many D1 schools, to (Missouri,N.Dame,K-State,KC-JayHawks,Ill,Tulane ) to name a few.
HM Futrell played a semester at Northern Iowa community College, then transferred to Central Methodist University where he started at running back all four years, earning awards as 2nd team all conference, 1st team all  conference. Futrell was invited to many NFL/CFL camps and the NFL combine in Indianapolis in 2006.
Futrell played Arena football team in LA for a team called the BlackHawks where he started at running back and inside Line backer before calling it quits.
Harlan M Futrell is married with 3 children.
